Vallivue School District is seeking an Ed-Flex Title I-A waiver to support a phased pilot of a specialized co-teaching model. During the 2027â2028 school year, the district plans to hire one additional Multilingual Learner (ML) Instructional Coach at a designated pilot elementary school. The coach will work with staff to prepare for a building-wide co-teaching model in 2028â2029. In the second year, the district plans to hire one to two highly qualified, certified teachers to co-teach English Language Arts (ELA) in grades Kâ5 at the pilot school, which serves approximately 140 ML students. After evaluating the pilot, the district may expand the model to additional elementary schools and, subsequently, to middle and high school campuses.
