The Vallivue School District had its early beginnings as thirteen
rural school houses scattered throughout the countryside of Canyon
County. The various schools housed students from kindergarten
through eighth grade and each building was independently
administered by a local school board. These local boards
eventually came together under one district in 1964. Vallivue
School District now consists of five elementary schools, two middle
schools, and one high school.
The district covers 143 square miles, bordering Middleton School
District to the north, and Nampa and Meridian School Districts to
the east. The growth in the number of students
enrolling in the Vallivue School District has been steadily
increasing. With planned subdivisions and area growth the need
for additional schools within the district is ever increasing.
As a result Vallivue has embarked on a number of current building
expansions and new elementary construction to keep pace with the
increasing population. The links to the left provide specific
information about each school. |
