The mission of the school library media program
is to assist teachers in individualizing instruction and learning
opportunities. Also, they help students to develop skills through
all the learning processes. These include skills to analyze, interpret,
evaluate, synthesize, read, think, speak, and listen clearly, among many
other skills. Enabling the student to learn how to learn through a
variety of avenues best suited for the individual student will be
pursued so they can keep current, having the ability and confidence
to face their ever changing future. Lastly the school library must
provide choices, alternatives, and self-propelled motivation that
will help students to become independant and capable of making intelligent
decisions, analyzing their problems and solving them working to better
society in the ways they can, rather than allowing them to lose the
quality already obtained.
