VALLIVUE HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA
Vallivue drama classes use intense, on-your-feet acting exercises
to teach fundamentals of acting and develop dramatic pieces.
The curriculum covers character development, mime,
script analysis, improvisation, play writing, theater history, and
performance. Three levels of courses are taught: Intro Drama, Drama
II, and an elite class, Actor's
Ensemble. Each class presents a public recital each semester.

Drama Club is available and open to all Vallivue students. Drama
Club produces two main stage productions each year. In recent years,
the VHS Drama Club has presented A Midsummer Night's Dream, The
Odd Couple-- (male and female version), The Musical Murders
of 1940, The Taming of the Shrew, Our Town, The Royal Family,
and The Imaginary Invalid. In co-production with VHS Choirs,
we have mounted Hello Dolly!, Camelot, and Brigadoon.
Two years ago we put on Go Back for Murder. In the spring, we
put on Bye Bye Birdie with the help of Mr. Curtis and the
rest of the choir.
