Carolyn received her degree
from BYU and served her clinical internship at Utah Valley
Regional Medical Center. She moved to Caldwell in 1974 fresh
out of college and has been working for the past 32 years as a
clinical laboratory scientist at West Valley Medical Center
where she is also the laboratory supervisor.
Carolyn serves on the Vallivue
Education Foundation and the committee for the Vallivue
Alternative School. Carolyn has been closely involved in the
schools since her first child started kindergarten in 1979. All
five of her children attended Vallivue schools and all are
graduates of Vallivue High School. All five children attended
college, the first four have completed their degrees and her
fifth child is well on her way to completing hers also. She
acknowledges the part that the Vallivue schools, teachers and
administrators have played in the lives of her children and
hopes that her time as a trustee can, in some way, compensate
for the dedication of those people.
