Professional Development
This page provides information regarding the professional development offerings by the Vallivue School District.  Effective Fall 2009, the district will reimburse employees up to three credits per year. 

Courses Update
  • We have a steadfast obligation to ensure student success in supporting quality instruction by providing professional development, resources, and collaboration time.

  • Professional development practices will align with district and school improvement plans

  • Professional development is offered by the district through district staff or consultants whose expertise is in a specific area.

  • Parents and patrons of Vallivue are invited to participate in any course we offer.


Paraprofessionals can take one of the following courses:
  • New class offering:  Advanced Excel class with Cassie Zuber at Vallivue High School in Room 232
  • Classroom Management for Paraprofessionals
  • Universal Protocols of Student Health Issues 
  • New Staff Training in teaching Reading
  • Introduction to Mathematical Thinking Initiative (MTI) Strategies

 

Certificated personnel can take one of the following courses:

Most of the courses in our 4 year plan are being offered this year during our professional development days at various sites. 

 

  • Courses must have at least 12 participants and registration must be confirmed at least one week prior to the start date.
  • Courses offered provide continuing education credits only and are not valid towards any type of degree.
