Vallivue's Professional Development Goals

 

At VSD, we have a steadfast obligation to ensure student success in
supporting quality instruction by providing professional development,
resources, and collaboration time. 

Professional development practices will align with district
and school improvement plans.

Professional development is offered by the district through district staff or consultants whose expertise is in a specific area.

Parents and patrons of Vallivue are invited to participate in any course we offer.

Our Four Year Plan

Year One:
Managing the First Semester and
Tribes (Elementary or Middle School level)

Year Two:
Frameworks I and
Classroom Instructions that Works

Year Three:
Frameworks II and
Advanced Reading Specialist  or
Introduction to SIOP

Year Four:
Culture of Poverty and
Advanced Reading Specialist or
Introduction to SIOP
 

Please Note: This plan does not take the place of state requirements.

 professional development days: 

9/20/10, 11/29/10, 2/22/11, & 4/18/11
 
 (Note: additional time may be required outside of these dates.)
