Crews will begin a project to reconstruct the 11th Avenue Bridge over Interstate 84 in Nampa, requiring the bridge to close to all traffic beginning the morning of May 11. The bridge will remain closed for approximately four months. During the four month closure, traffic will be detoured north to Birch Lane, and south to Idaho Center Boulevard/ Garrity Boulevard, (Franklin Boulevard and Garrity intersect with 11th south of I-84). Detours will be posted to assist motorists.

On Friday, May 14, crews will demolish the bridge overnight, requiring all I-84 lanes between Garrity and Franklin interchanges to close from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Flaggers will direct interstate travelers to follow detours.

Reconstruction of the bridge is required to accommodate future lanes on I-84. Beginning later this spring, a project will add one lane in each direction on I-84 between Franklin and Garrity.
